You can have everything Directd holds about you deleted, at any time, without giving a reason. This page explains exactly how, what gets removed, and what we are obliged to keep.
How to request deletion
1. Ask us to delete it
2. Or delete your account in the app
3. Or revoke access at the platform, without us
- •Instagram / Facebook — Facebook Settings → Security and Login → Business Integrations, then remove Directd.
- •TikTok — TikTok Settings → Security & permissions → Manage app permissions, then remove Directd.
- •Apple — App Store Connect → Users and Access → Integrations, then revoke the API key you issued to Directd.
What we hold, and what gets deleted
A deletion request removes all of the following:
- •Account details — name, email address, authentication identifiers
- •App details you connected — App Store listing data, your app’s public metadata
- •Apple App Store Connect API credentials, where you supplied them
- •Connected social account tokens for Instagram, Facebook Pages or TikTok
- •Content Directd produced for you — positioning briefs, angles, briefs, drafts
- •Campaign records — which creators were engaged, what was published, what it cost and what it returned
- •Billing records, retained where financial regulations require it
What we keep, and why
Billing and tax records
Invoices and payment records are retained for as long as accounting and tax law requires, which in the EU is generally seven years. We cannot delete these on request; the law requires us to hold them.
Content already published
Posts that went live on Instagram, TikTok or elsewhere are held by those platforms and by the creators who posted them, not by us. Deleting your Directd data does not retract them. You would need to remove those posts on the platform, or ask the creator to.
Payments already made to creators
Where Directd has paid a creator on your behalf, the record of that transaction is retained for accounting and dispute purposes. It is not deleted with your account.
Backups
Deleted data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before those backups rotate out. It is not accessible to the product or to our team during that window.
Your other rights
Deletion is one of several rights you hold under the GDPR. You can also request a copy of your data, have inaccurate data corrected, ask us to restrict how we process it, or object to processing altogether. Use the same address, and see the Privacy Policy for the full picture. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
